Casey Hockey Club is proud to announce Sam Dobrich as senior men’s coach.
Sam spent much of her formative hockey life at Casey and returns to the club after a decade at the highest level at Mentone.
Sam’s playing record speaks for itself. She developed into a key player in Mentone’s Premier League team, helping it reach four Grand Finals in her time at the club.
A strong organiser, Sam has co-ordinated the senior women’s unit at Mentone and coached junior teams.
While this is her first senior coaching role, Sam is an astute hockey mind and is well-known to many of the senior men’s group.
She is looking forward to continuing the progress the club had been building before COVID-19 put a stop to the 2020 season.
“I left Casey 10 years ago with the intention to always return and share what I’ve learnt, Sam said.
“I’m really excited to finally do this and give back to a club that was so important to me for such a long time.
“I can’t wait to get cracking with a great group after such a long break this year, bring on 2021!”
We look forward to Sam joining the club. She will be at training next Wednesday, November 18, to meet the playing group.
